ABOUT

OUR JOURNEY

Glass Lantern started as a family dream, passed down through generations of food lovers. My grandparents owned a small café in the countryside, where every meal was prepared with love and shared with the local community. Inspired by their legacy and the cozy bistros I visited throughout Europe, I wanted to bring that same sense of warmth and togetherness to our hometown. Glass Lantern was born from that idea—a place where good food, a welcoming atmosphere, and great company come together.

Our menu is a tribute to both tradition and creativity. We source the finest ingredients to craft dishes that are both comforting and refined. The wild mushroom risotto is a favorite, combining earthy flavors with a creamy, rich texture. Our short rib stroganoff is another highlight—a modern twist on a family classic, slow-cooked to perfection. And for something lighter, the beetroot salad offers a refreshing mix of flavors. Whether it's our tender steak frites or the savory onion and Gruyère tart, each dish is made to nourish both body and soul.

And, of course, no story of Glass Lantern would be complete without mentioning our feline family. Cats have always been a part of our lives, and it only felt natural to let them be part of the restaurant. You’ll often spot them lounging in sunny corners or curling up near the fireplace, adding to the cozy, home-like atmosphere that makes Glass Lantern unique. They’re as much a part of the experience as the food itself, creating a sense of comfort and belonging for all who visit.

Glass Lantern is more than just a restaurant—it's a reflection of our family’s history, our love for food, and our desire to create a place where everyone feels at home.
